Community Tasting Notes 5

March 9, 2024 - The nose pops with spicy, red currants, tobacco leaf, flowers, blackberries and lead pencil. The wine is medium-bodied, crisp, fresh, bright and with a nice sweetness to the red fruits. There is lift, and energy to the bright red fruits that linger in the finish. Drink from 2026-2040.

June 23, 2022 - (92-94 vvPunkte) 63% Cabernet, 37% Merlot) Leuchtendes Rubinrot, ziemlich dunkel. Ausgezeichnet. (Verkostet "En Primeur" im April 2022. Château Pichon Baron) vvWine.ch

May 20, 2022 - From a blend of 63% Cabernet Sauvignon and 37% Merlot, the wine offers a floral and leafy herbed character due to the large percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend. The wine is medium-bodied, crisp, fresh, bright and vibrant, with a strong vibrant, peppery bite to the berries on the palate. There is lift, and crunchy red fruits in the finish. Drink from 2026-2040. 89-91

Ripe black fruit; plums over blackcurrant with a little black cherry, slightly woody notes, graphite. Juicy initially it proves a little bit hard and drying from a tannic perspective, but this doesn’t impede the fruit which remains rather pretty. Nice.

    Kinda easy as it were.
