November 6, 2020 - At its peak. Blood red colour. Loads of red fruit still with a minty overtone. Classic SA backbone. Good equilibrium of acidity, alchohol and fruit. Drink right now or miss this one.

November 10, 2019 - Excellent. Mature, tertiary fruit and wood notes. Remains balanced. Best after about 30minutes of air and held for 3+ hours. Would plan to drink in the next year if I had more.

March 25, 2019 - Had this a couple of days ago. I was worried it would be past it a bit, but this wasn't an issue at all. Still rather youthful, but well integrated, with the impressive concentration and intensity the main things I remember. Complex flavours of red and black fruits and a herbal note on the full bodied palate. drinking well now, but should last quite a while yet. Impressive powerful yet balanced wine (A-/A)

October 21, 2017 - At first a very classical Bordeaux nose, but with some airtime showing more of burnt rubber, olives and wet soil, but that moved away after a couple of hours showing more minty and chocolate notes and feeling better. Smooth and soft tannins on the palate with lots of fruit showing warm morels and a good balance, but perhaps a bit too sweet for my palate on the finish. Still a good showing, and worked very well with the spaghetti Bolognese. Should drink well over the next decade. Best 2015-2025.
