April 13, 2024 - Al naso ottima profumazione di frutti neri e rossi, sottobosco, pietra e terziari di legno e vaniglia. Al palato complesso, ricco e fruttato, ciliegia e more. Ben strutturato, di carattere e corpo. Ottimo bilanciamento e buona persistenza.

March 7, 2024 - Found this bottle to be somewhat overly tart but enjoyable. Dark , dry berries. Maybe needs to breath more next time.

December 1, 2023 - Nancy thinks this is a bit too restrained…I don’t know if I agree, but it is borderline, for certain. Very nice wine in either case!

November 12, 2023 - Deep scents of raspberry and cherry, clean and natural, with elegance and charm, a bit of umami too, sports flavors of cherry candy, medicinal herb and dried raspberry, food-friendly, drinking well now, fine character and distinction, lively finish

October 10, 2023 - A truly fantastic Barbera, deep and complex. Incredibly Piedmontese in character. The nose is layered with lots of ripe fruit in the foreground, plums, figs, cherries, and raspberries. Then a beautiful balsamic note emerges, a hint of menthol, a light licorice. In the mouth, there's explosive acidity and velvety tannins. The persistence is also excellent. Ladies and gentlemen, we can't continue to ignore Barbera, one of the most underrated grape varieties in Italy for its ability to produce, when in the wrong hands, poor-quality wines. This one was sublime, at times almost indistinguishable from a good Nebbiolo. The future belongs to Barbera.
Il futuro è della barbera.1 person found this helpful Comment
