February 17, 2016 - Sourced from Italian Wine Merchants in NYC, this wine is just in a beautiful place right now. A lot going on, and all good. With the sexiness of a 1990 Right Bank bdx (although this is cabernet) crossed with an aged Altesino Montosoli. Unmistakable "Italianness" to this wine as well -- tar, herbs, leather. Nothing against the aia's, which of course can be delicious, but to my palate this is the best super Tuscan I've ever tasted.

October 14, 2012 - I am just stunned how beautiful this wine is. I just opened it and immediately poured and it is perfect. . Perfect taste, smooth, tannins are in fabulous shape. I just emailed some good friends to see if they are awake. It is beautiful though 3 years past it's drinking window. Hurray!

October 18, 2009 - The Blind Drunks monthly tasting (Our house): Garnet color. Notes of plum, violets, black fruit and beef bouillon. Very well-balanced, with flavors of red currants, cherry and sandalwood.
