November 2, 2020 - Wonderful. Loads of bright red fruit along with bittersweet cocoa, earth, and oak. Tannins are in the background but with so much fruit, I feel this could go longer for more tertiary flavor components.

March 6, 2018 - Very earthy, driven by secondary flavors of leather and mushroom, red fruit falls to the back. Surprisingly bright acidity at this stage. Still drinking well. Great match with homemade pasta, sauce, and meatballs.

March 30, 2017 - Still drinking very well. Tannins remain firm but not gripping. Color is still dark and the fruit does show through. Sediment in bottle has hardened.

October 28, 2016 - Opaque, crimson color. Warm and inviting on the nose: black cherry, burnt tobacco and oak. Full bodied and fleshy on the palate with great acid - perfect with tonight's pasta dish. Black cherry dominates. Short, tannic finish. Very good. Wish I had more in the cellar...
