February 11, 2024 - Pale yellow-gold with green tint. Medium toasted barrel, citrus, mango, green apple, passion fruit, hazelnut, pineapple, limestone. A basket of orchard fruits. Medium-full bodied, high acidity, medium-high structure, medium alcohol and long finish. Fresh, sharp, elegant, layered and balanced. Excellent. Roulot-style Chardonnay.

January 19, 2024 - Oregon Trip-Day 1 (Here and there, Willamette Valley): Yellow with green tint. Ripe nose with some reduction. Incredibly glycerine feel. Big and oaky, leesy and long with good acidity and a tropical fruit character. This feels like Côte de Beaune Grand Cru.

January 18, 2024 - This was a pop and pour at the restaurant. Even so the nose is open, deep, and complex with gunflint, smoke, limes, lemon peel, red apples, pears, jasmine, white flowers, and a bit of nougat. The Medium bodied feel is well balanced and deft with tart, medium+ acidity that leans into a lovely, lingering finish. This is a wonderful Chardonnay that shows off what Oregon can really do in the right hands. Sometimes the reduction can bother me, but it played out perfectly and beautifully here.

December 9, 2023 - Really good right from the start. Crisp and precise but not overly lean. Citrus, peach, green apple, matchstick and mineral. It’s has a strong petrol element on the nose. Just a baby that will need several years.
