March 3, 2024 - Similar to before but the finish was notable for a strong green bell pepper flavor. So much so that it was off putting. By day 2 this was less pronounced

February 23, 2024 - Surprisingly good wine. Fantastic value.

January 4, 2024 - PnP initial impressions: an earthy wine with subtle red and purple fruits peaking through a savory core. Nice acidity and agree with others notes of green tannins which I happen to enjoy. Good now, better in 2-3 years?

December 26, 2023 - Dark cocoa and plum on the nose, cranberry fruit palate, and fairly short finish with chewy, stemmy tannins. Tannins a bit green which is a bit off-putting. Much better likely with food.

August 22, 2023 - Splash decanted then back to bottle and followed for an evening. 14% ABV.

The nose shows crushed blackberry and fresh purple fruits slathered over rocky minerals. Hints of spicy pepper too. Palate has plenty of chewy structure and stays medium bodied with a kick of mineral driven acidity. Ripe plums with just a kick of tartness, very subtle oak framing, fresh blackberries. Finish is lovely. Mashed blackberries over crushed white stones, trailing notes of blackcurrants. Some florality too giving an overall high toned purple and dark feel to the wine.

Stylistically right up my wheelhouse. High toned fruits with proper ripeness, plenty of acidity and toothsome tannins underneath. Agree with the comparison to *some* Veeder and Atlas peak wines. Emphasis on some as this doesn't necessarily have the same depth as some of those wines. This should comfortably age for 4-7 years.

Drinking very well now though expect a more seamless experience in the future. 91-92. Feels closer to 92 than 91 so will be generous.
