February 28, 2023 - Light to medium bidy. Still reasonably vibrant robe. Nearly zero sediment. Nose and initial palate of dark dried fruits, some gravel and a touch of tar. After about 1 hour decant the fruit subsides a bit and tastes a bit more like earth/dirt. A little thin on the mid palate and into the finish, where it turns a bit one dimensional. There is a touch of bitter cedar wood on the finish, which is still a bit drying with tannin.

September 5, 2021 - Last few notes on point. 3 hr decant. Lovely floral notes and violets, some tar, medium tannins, lovely dark red fruits and touch of menthol.

October 20, 2020 - Very good example of what great winemaker can do in such a challenging year like this.Powerful and subtle nose of plum ,strawberry, dried flowers, earth, spices and a hint of truffle. The palate is beautifully proportioned with refined, racy tannins, and lively acidity.Overall,a very balanced and tasty wine.Fully mature now,I don't think it will improve much more.

April 30, 2019 - Ruby red in color. Expressive Nebbiolo aromas of dried dark florals, high toned red fruits, leather and tar. Palate reveals sweet and ripe reddish small fruits, hint of tobacco, medium acidity, no tannins and a very long, silky leather tinged finish. Beautiful.

April 14, 2017 - We had 2 bottles on the night. This still has some way to go before it reaches heights I think. 4 hr decant helped to calm the tannins but even then it doesn't feel settled. Not exactly bad at this point but I was definitely looking for more from these bottles
