October 17, 2023 - A bit tight and awkward right upon opening and needed air to come together. An hour or so in the decanter helped a lot but it was significantly better on day 2 when half the bottle had spent the night in the refrigerator. On day 2 my previous nose is pretty accurate and this wine is probably one of Italy's top three or four rosato wines.

May 3, 2023 - A weighty rose. Standout from a wine paired dinner. Fruit without sweetness. Stony minerality. Wine is great from nose to finish. Delicious and impressive pairedll with cod and black truffle.

June 8, 2022 - Winery visit and this was a barrel sample. This one will be bottled in July 2022.
100% Montepulciano, only direct press, no added yeast, fermented and aged for one year in old botti, minimal use of sulphur.
Pale, coral/pink color.
Starts out with cap gun smoke/reduction but a bit of swirling reveals a complex nose with serious depth. Wild strawberry, raspberry, bright red cherry, rose petals, a hard-to-describe-spiciness as well as some aromatic notes of rhubarb and red gooseberry.
Great structure with smooth and fine grained tannin structure along with a lively and vibrant acidity. Superb intensity and length.
This wine brings so much sense to Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo and shows why this style stands out from other rosè wines. It has a unique aroma profile and the mouthfeel and structure is also something else. Definitely in line with the Cerasuolo from Valentini but in a bit (in lack of better word) wilder style. Amazing.
