December 19, 2010 - AWG Rijstaffel: Served with a group we hosted for a Rijstaffel. Deep golden color. Has a very lovely integrated nose of peach, petrol, lime, flowers, and honey. Seemed Mosel-like. Did not live up to its nose on the palate. Light medium body. Has some tart citrus/peach notions, but fruit drops off. Much better on the sniff than the swallow.

12/1/2003 (link)(Johannisoff Johannisberger Klaus Riesling Spatlese) Great nose of petrol, peach, honey, tea leaf and mint. Viscous yet the acid is there. Grapefruits abound along with a lemon-drop like finish. As this opened in the glass orange marmalade and cotton candy aromas started to show. Beautiful wine that is ready to go.
