  July 14, 2016 - Last bottle from a half-case purchased way back in 2008. Maybe slightly past its prime, but this still showed quite well. The trademark plum and blueberry fruit has faded noticeably, lending this a better sense of balance. Still round, soft and very elegant - but displays a more vibrant acidity, now that its fruit is much less prominent. Has an almost Old World feel to it now. Paired very well with our roasted duck.

  December 31, 2014 - Popped and let slow ox for 2hrs. Bright garnet purple not saturated still youthful at the edge blueberries plum with a touch of sage and vanilla. Medium weight with silky tannins. Blueberries cassis plums touch of cedar and ash on the palate. Elegant and delicious.
