June 4, 2023 - Complete tropical fruit bomb explosion in the absolutely most delicious and desirable way. This coming from a person who lives in Hawaii.
Spent much time at Stein in the Mosel, tastes just as it did there. All June mangoes, Hawaii lilikoi, whipped cream, and HEAVY acid.
Thank god it made it here to Hawaii with everything intact through kogod, let alone through the douche-castle that is vom boden.
Exciting, electric, ‘21, refreshing, june big island lychee, not n fading memories of its greatness. Nothing at all ‘typical Mosel’ about it other than how effortlessly incredible it is. Very special. Stein at the brothers funnest. Absolutely fantastic. -

February 17, 2023 - By the glass at Bronwyn on Battenkill in Arlington, VT. Classic riesling nose, lemons and limes is a good call but it has that familiar hint of petrol. Not too complex but classic. Palate is nice and weighty, full bodied, great acid, quite dry, barely sweet. Relatively simple flavor profile: lemon sorbet, whipped cream. A good entry level riesling. It’s not going to change your life but you could do a lot worse btg.

December 9, 2022 - Lemon lime is immediately evident, but with more depth and ripeness than your average Riesling. Minerality balances everything out.
High acid with just a touch of RS. The finish mimicks the nose. Rather than austere lemon juice, it’s more lemonade (as taken from many other reviews).
Stein’s wines are simply amazing. They aren’t necessarily easotaric or “outside the box”, but just execute the classic notes better than most producers. -

October 24, 2022 - Trip to New Orleans; 10/23/2022-10/24/2022 (New Orleans, LA): Balanced, reasonably complex, mostly dry with just the faintest hint of sweetness, medium-plus acid; clean and medium length finish with a bit of dry extract. Lovely. 89-90
