  December 16, 2023 - Sammamish Port Club - Holiday Tasting (Sammamish, Washington): This wine's score suffered from coming at the end of our tasting of ruby and tawny Ports, as well as the warmer temperature it was at by the time we tasted it at the end of the evening. Clear, light straw in color. Dried fruit, vanilla, honeysuckle, and dried Peach on the nose. It is drier in style, and while I normally get lemon, orange, and dried nuts on this wine, it was lacking both in aromatics and those complex flavors. Still great structure, just not a good showing of this bottle due to its position in the lineup.

  September 23, 2022 - 2022 Port Harvest Tour; 9/22/2022-10/2/2022 (Porto, Portugal): A delightful blend of four different years of White Port, this is a light golden straw color. Produced exclusively with Rabigato grapes, it offers dried herbs and light floral notes on the nose. With a dry style and 20 g/l of residual sugar, the wine achieves a remarkable balance with good acidity.

  June 21, 2022 - Confraria Induction Trip; 6/19/2022-6/26/2022 (Porto, Portugal): Bottled in 2021. 500ml bottle. 16.5% alcohol. This wine had grape skin contact for two or three days during fermentation to give the wine its golden yellow color. There is a light nose of mixed tropical fruits. This dry style begins with rich intense notes of melon, grapefruit, and bright acidity. The mid-palate has good acidity and balance. Nice long, rich finish with a touch of residual sweetness popping up on the tail end.
