April 23, 2024 - Decanted three hours before tasting during our Monday Night Wine tasting…a nice wine. Went well with lamb. Sour cherries, oak and good acid…this was a blind tasting and most guessed Rioja. I wouldn’t be surprised if this improves with a little age.

December 13, 2023 - Drank over three evenings. Best on evening two. Pretty complex, developed but far from tired. Spicebox (various hard spices, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove), dill, some bready and pastry like notes. Ripe cherry too. So much acid! It’s borderline too much on day three, in best balance day two. Some chewy tannins too, menthol notes on the palate. Pretty long.

December 9, 2023 - Poured almost a brownish rust and for a second I thought it was corked but the taste was excellent. Sour cherries and dried cranberries. I noticed a slight decline in the taste after a couple of hours.
