Community Tasting Notes 4

  • Danthejuiceman Likes this wine:

March 7, 2024 - Delicious wine somewhat bigger than it’s sibling yet still showing restraint as apposed to the many ‘new world’ Brunello at the Greatwinesworld Miami Beach 2024.

March 1, 2024 - A very serious BdM. Nose of blackberry, forest floor, graphite and balsamic. Very concentrated, good now but greatness promised.

At a walk around tasting. Very good wine.

November 17, 2022 - Tasted at Benvenuto Brunello NYC. 15% ABV light to medium garnet. Modern style with moderate oak influence. Controlled and balanced on the whole despite the alcohol. I found many of the heavily oaked wines today to be unattractive but this one I thought worked. Nose has light cherry, red florals and chocolate but clean and balanced. Palate is complex and layered with dark cherry, chocolate, minty menthol and a very rich texture. Finish is persistent. Definitely needs time in the cellar and aeration.

November 11, 2022 - Life is a like a box of chocolates - oh, wait, here you know, what you're getting, chocolate, that is; round, rich, modern - and approachable.
