July 15, 2016 - Thats what you want in a port, great with cheese. Deep dried figs.

December 2, 2015 - Monthly Tasting Group EEE #045; Provence plus a sweet pirate (@ BD): In the bouquet ripe red and dark forest fruits and some tea. On the palate concentrated ripe and dried fruits like blackberries, figs, strawberry, currants and raisins. There is a firm amount of sweetness but also good and fresh acidity and soft tannin. Very nice wine, but there is something special about it. Most Banyuls are excellent company for chocolate desserts. This one isn’t because of the fresh acidity. A sweet fruit dessert will match better.

April 6, 2012 - Last time I drank it was in 2008. Back then I mistyped that this wine looked like Graham's "Sex" Grapes (instead of "Six" Grapes). Definitely nothing that pleasent. All the berries, mushrroms and dark chocolates are just mixed but don't make a good wine.

July 30, 2011 - Dried plum, funky herbal nose. Flavor seems off - some underripe black fruit, earthy herbs, and cocoa powder. Good balance of sweetness, acidity, and alcohol though. Maybe the flavor profile will improve with some more time?

October 23, 2009 - Deep ruby with a purple tone. Layers of red and black fruit, raspberries, cherries and blackberries pairing the mint and blackpepper tones along with a hint of truffles. Solid, silky and refined.
