Community Tasting Notes 6

June 26, 2011 - I bought this bottle at the winery several years ago. Back then, it was an over-the-top juicy-fruity high-alcohol bomb. It has mellowed a bit over the years and has improved since the last time I drank a bottle in '08. Very tasty for a backyard BBQ. The fruit did a good job of masking the high alcohol content.

July 11, 2010 - Very fruity, but a bit more bold than expected. Seemed to have a strong alcohol finish.

January 13, 2009 - Very tasty. Dark fruit. Much more fruit than a typical Zin. I didn't think it needed any decanting.

October 5, 2008 - Great nose - black pepper and red fruit. Good palate but a little too much alcohol at 15.5%. I decanted for 1 hour before drinking, should have decanted for 3 to 4 hours minimum.
