  February 18, 1992 - At home with K celebrating K's news that she is expecting our 2nd child. Pleasing golden yellow color. Has a persistent, fine bead; curiously, it had a relatively large bead when first opened. Complex, chalky, yeasty nose. Palate is also complex, and is creamy initially with citrus (grapefruit in particular) on the finish. I am glad I saved this for a special occasion, for it was up to the task. 5-10-15-7: 87/100.

  December 14, 1990 - At Singer & Foy. Extremely fine appearance. Lots of frothy bubbles, very fine bead. VERY pale straw color. Nose just has lovely, lovely really vanillin fruit. So much character it is amazing. It's a knockout on the palate as well, full-bodied, rich, lightly chalky; creamy palate impression. One of the very best Champagnes I have ever tasted. 5-13-18-9: 95/100.
