February 17, 2024 - Enjoyable notes of black tea, dark cherries, and a minerality, but just a touch soft on the palate with noticeable oakiness that lends the wine a chocolate / vanilla streak. Not a fan of the oak (perhaps it will integrate in time) nor the plushness - it feels like this was engineered to drink easily in its youth - but the lift on this wine is admittedly impressive.

December 26, 2023 - Open for 3 hrs for fruit to really show. Nose of spices. Medium acid, medium light body. On the palate leather and oak with light but balanced amount of dusty red fruit, raspberry and red plums, spices. Balanced and pretty serious.
