April 9, 2024 - The WOTN, although we only three bottles. Mango notes up front with a generally acidic mouthfeel and a wood background flavor. Nice wine and worth having right now. I didn't get the impression that this would largely improve.

December 27, 2023 - From Winery tasting notes. Focused aromas of golden pear, honeysuckle, and brioche on the nose. Refreshing minerality along with flavors of lemon curd fill out the Rich palette. Vanilla and fresh pair. Flavors are found in the long finish.

February 12, 2023 - This offering was a bit like the Eagles defensive performance in the second half of the Super Bowl - just did not find its footing. It seemed overly oak dominated and austere compared to other Chardonnays that Martinelli offers. Maybe I am less a fan of the Ft. Ross appellation as I prefer Sonoma and Russian River wines a bit more. Raw almonds, unseasoned oak and fruit seemed secondary. I am not critical of this wine as much as just being honest about my palate. This presents minerality and ripening orchard fruit.
