October 13, 2023 - Never heard of this wine until Last Bottle was hawking it. Their words, not mine; "Elegant rose petals, juicy black currants, aromatic spices from bay laurel to Madagascar vanilla, and even Bordeaux-esque pencil lead – this wine is so beautifully perfumed…you just might forget to take a sip!!! But when you come to, as I did, that first sip…woweeeee!!! DEEP, rich, layered, and velvety – berries upon berries, with cherries, and chocolate-dipped blueberries, and mocha, and worn leather, some earthy spices like clove and cardamom."
Now with all that said, it's not bad, but the description by Last Bottle is not close to the actual product IMHO. I've had plenty of fruit forward Napa blends, uh, no, not this. I found it smooth, no complexity, good sipping wine. So for the price I've had better. Would I buy it again? Probably not. One down, 5 to go, maybe a few years will help?
Day 2; I have to admit this wine did improve slightly. I'm not going to change my score. I will give my remaining lot another year or two and try again. The wine opened up some but still nothing overwhelming. -

April 28, 2023 - Fruit forward and smooth and it goes with everything. Everyone I have shared this with has enjoyed it. Great value for the quality of the wine.
