January 13, 2024 - Mature brick red colour with leather-toned brim. Nose is mature with notes of leather, underbrush, dried cherries and raisins. Mouthfeel is mature, medium bodied, with fine-grained tannins, good acidity and notes of dried cherries, leather, raisins and garrigue.

Nice wine that drinks well now. This was my last bottle, but if I'd had more, I'd be looking at drinking them within the next couple of years, I don't think it will get any better from here.

January 8, 2023 - Deep ruby with discoloration on edges. Ripe aromas of blackberry, prunes, raisins, peppers, tobacco, leather, earth. Wine is balanced, rich, with sweetness on palate coming from ripe fruits and high alcohol. Silky tannins. Taste of prunes, blackberry and mushrooms. Long finish.

April 3, 2022 - From MG. Rich, spicy, plenty of heat, alcohol, PB hated it, I not so much, but true enough, this is old fashioned Santa Duc, lacks the elegance of the last example.

April 3, 2022 - This was better than a M Chapoutier VIT of 2006, same vintage. It managed high alc better and was a better balanced beast which with age became more approachable. If only alc was a bit lower...

May 2, 2019 - The best example from this vineyard, that I have had - hail the 2004&2006ses; vertical, mineral, full bodied and warm, yes, but there is a cool spine to this, that is lacking in other vintages. Will live on, but probably near its peak.
