March 8, 2024 - Nose: Red and black fruit, mild green vegetal aroma.

Palate: Sour black cherry, red raspberry, black currant, absolutely packed with fruit flavor. Baking spice, pepper, orange liqueur, good acid with maybe the slightest bit of VA. Rich, concentrated, and a bit jammy. Medium acid, medium+ body, medium- length, medium+ chewy tannins.

Holds up over the course of 4 days stored in the fridge. Good value at $20.

February 10, 2024 - Deep, opaque red with good fruit on the nose, given time to open and soften in the glass. The bottle had been opened well in advance and the wine double-decanted which made it more approachable earlier.
Dark Fruit - blackberries, blueberries, blackcurrants, dark plums with plum skin, cherries (some sour cherry on the end palate after time) and strawberry. A hint of cherry brandy was short-lived.
Good acidity and soft tannins making it good with food (some ‘mouth-puckering’ later but only when tasted without food - even just soft cheese on a cracker brought it back into line). A much more rich and complex wine than would be expected at this price point with spice and herbal flavours developing as it changed over time. On the basis of earlier vintages, it has a long life ahead.
A small sample was at least as good next day. No rush to open or drink but do taste it with food. Excellent value. A superb example of Cinsault with significant contributions from the Cabernet Sauvignon plus a little Syrah.
Tasted at Grand Union Wine Society with Jane Sowter of Chateau Musar. 90+ at this early stage.

January 14, 2024 - Absolutely delicious. Very light and drinkable. Closer to a Pinot than a cab. Mineral.

October 19, 2023 - Another bottle, remains excellent. Love the tannin on this, and the fruit is dark and clean. Yum.

September 29, 2023 - Amazing value! Blend of Cinsault, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. Blackcurrant, raspberry and cherry jam flavors and a spicy finish. Good acidity. Great weeknight wine!
