  March 16, 2024 - Paired with lamb shank. I’m not sure about this wine. It has a lovely nose of black fruits and plums. On the palate the fruit is there and the tannins reasonably integrated. However the alcohol is very obtrusive and difficult to get beyond which I think spoils the wine. I wonder whether a few years the cellar may help. I like aging Ozzy wines and may buy a few and be patient.

  March 6, 2024 - Popped and poured. Nose of blackberry, black plum, bramble, vanilla and spice. Ripe blackberry, vanilla, bramble and spice on the palate. Very long, layered finish. Dense and bodied. Served with grilled sausage and peppers sandwiches.

  February 16, 2024 - My real score for this wine is 92 and I hope it helps to average out the ridiculous 50 score. Enjoying this wine over many vintages. Robust fruit with ample acidity with a long balanced structure. This wine is so big and well balanced that the 16% alcohol is not obtrusive. Found this on sale for $25 and will be buying more for the cellar.

  January 15, 2024 - Atypical for this wine. Lighter, less jammy, more elegant than usual vintages. Clean flavors.
