June 12, 2022 - Rich and intense
Decanted off a lot of sediment. More balanced on second day. Ripe plumand blackcurrant, eucalyptus undertones. Power of the alcohol somewhat tempered by bright acidity.
Still a lot of life
Fruit tones very similar to a much younger Hermitage -

May 1, 2022 - Robe rouge sombre, opaque avec des tons chauds. Le nez est intense, vibrant sur la mûre. En bouche, l’attaque est immense, riche, tendue. On retrouve la mûre, une texture crémeuse, un fruit très mûr mais sans lourdeur. L’ensemble est vivifié par une acidité assez marquée, qui balance bien u. Jus suave dont on ressent juste une pointe de sucrosité. Superbe vin. À maturité depuis quelques années, mais se tiendra sans problème au top encore quelques années de plus.

March 8, 2021 - Big, rich, fruit-filled, intense wine - really, really good. But... the bottle is obscene! It weighs over 1 kilogram - so for every bottle of wine shipped from Australia, almost 1.5 times its weight in glass is shipped. I really liked the wine, but I'll not compromise our environment by shipping glass instead of wine. Winemakers should learn from Bordeaux.
