May 11, 2019 - From a nice looking half bottle, this wine had a deep yellow/light gold center and clear rims. The high intensity nose offered up ripe pear, plum, butter, and vanilla. By the way, this was the LGC as you can see from the double white rims at the bottom of the capsule in my photo.

In the mouth, this wine was rich and ripe with great acidity and immense length. The mouthfeel was super creamy and sweet.

This wine had great viscosity and length. It was awesome and will easily evolve for 2-3 decades. I expect additional nuance (as well as an increased score) with with age.

June 21, 2015 - What an astounding dessert wine! Upon initial opening this seemed hesitant and tucked away in it's shell. Honeyed fruit was all it was willing to show. But we decided to drink this over the course of two weeks and map its trajectory. By week two this had unfurled magnificently, showing some of the most dense, dark flavors I've every imagined. You can feel every part of your tongue light up as you taste the wine. Perhaps the most curious aspect was that it wasn't acidity that kept it from being too heavy, but a distinct salty undercurrent that was most unexpected and wonderful. Definitely a wine limited in it's pairings, but it's hard to imagine a greater dessert wine.

March 1, 2014 - The color of this wine is deep golden which was a little scary at first. Not the worry, the flavors are all honeyed botrytis without any petrol. Lovely late harvest riesling.

April 27, 2009 - Rich, sweet but with great balance, this offers profound flavors of pineapple-upsidedown cake, botrytis and butter, good acidity, and a long finish.
