April 2, 2024 - The nose wafts loads of peach and apricot, plus lemon, honeysuckle, and cantaloupe. Full bodied, almost opulent fleshiness balances with cutting, textural acid, going from big and round on entry to sharp and linear on exit. Peach, tart Granny Smith Apple, elderflower, unripe almond, and lemon pith fill out the flavor profile. There’s just a clear juxtaposition between the rich juiciness of this wine and the slight tartness of the fruit. While it’s not terminal to the wine, this is one for the faint of heart to avoid.
