December 6, 2022 - Tasted at Azienda Agricola Guiseppe Cortese at the top of the Rabajà vineyard. This wine is vinified in stainless steel with no oak aging. 12.5% ABV. It is a bright medium crimson color. The nose is very floral especially with violets. It is bone dry with bright acidity and modest tannin and a delicate clean mouth feel. Beautiful, light weight and mouthwatering. Well balanced and a very versatile wine with or without food. One of the better Dolcetto d'Alba's I've ever had. Not sappy or excessively fruity as I find many to be. This is definitely more refined and serious. It reminds me more of Dogliani.
