  October 20, 2022 - maturing red color with age on the rim, a lovely and intricate nose of tea leaves, savory cherries and dried rose petals, on the palate the fruit has receded leaving behind a very clear picture of the ornate structure bound in bramble and dried herbs, this had been decanted for several hours and despite the lack of fruit was wonderfully balanced with no excessive acids or structural hardness, this is an unusual outcome but still a pleasant and highly insightful one- plus it should be noted this was served at a big birthday party tasting alongside some very big CA Cabs, 2009 Mouton and 2014 Lafleur, in a more quiet dedicated setting with a meal- this would fare better but even so I think a cheese course is best at this point.

  October 20, 2022 - Stood up for several months. Decanted off fine sediment for 4h early in am then back into bottle. Now 12 h later. Lovely aromas of sweet, ripe cherries, sous bois, bark, anise, and a bit of earth. Palate w dried and fresh red cherries, bark, earth, lovely minerals, stem, green herbs, and a bit of earth. Palate doesn't match the nose. But the palate is still lovely and elegant. Excellent acids, medium body, and medium+ tannins. Tart cherries, herbs, stems and tannins on the relatively short finish. Nice wine but not great wine with the nose pointing to much more potential that the palate doesn't live up to. Still an excellent drink. 91+

  August 30, 2017 - Mivvy Back in Town: Blind. Resin, chocolate, blackcurrant, dark florals and black cherry notes. Tannins are still quite full on the palate but they are fine and there is an element of richness to the fruit that works well together. Punchy but also shows good purity. Plenty of time left for this.

  July 14, 2017 - guess maturity to drink this at real pleasure time depends on bottle and cellar. This bottle had a still quite good grip, even more than the Montestefano bottle same vintage drank a couple months ago. Lots of life ahead for this bottle though. Half of it decanted and drank right away, the other half kept in the bottle for about an hour. Decanted half opened up sooner than the the bottle half told for me this needs time and air for bottles in a good storage condition. Would recommend to rather store than drink today, if you can. its a good Nebbiolo based wine. A 93p+ this time, wish I had more for the next decade, my last bottle for this site & vintage of Prudutorri , sadly. A 93p wine.
