August 26, 2023 - Napa 2023 - The Sequel; 8/23/2023-8/28/2023: Young and brooding, this was the most muted of the wines but was still very good. Tannins still holding this back with mostly black cherry showing through. Paired with cheese, it showed slightly more. Needs 5 years sideways before a recheck. No score.

February 18, 2023 - This wine was surprisingly different than many Mt. Veeder wines that I drink. I was surprised by how approachable this young wine was. Beautiful fruit and floral notes carried by smooth tannins. My wife loved this style of wine (ergo a case will be added to the cellar :)) . I will be fascinated to see how this wine ages! I genuinely enjoyed the wine as well.

February 9, 2023 - Napa 2023: the quieter version; 2/6/2023-2/11/2023 (Napa/Sonoma California): Drinking quite nicely. It’s darker in style. Lots of blueberry and blackberry adn spice and just very young.
