September 4, 2022 - Tasted over 2 days. Showing very young, fruity, creamy, poised, spicy. Elegantly earthy & mineralized. Refined. Mildly pungent. White & yellow orchard fruit, nectarine, smoky lemon & lime, unsweetened whipped cream, ginger, mandarin zest & starfruit. Excellent ripe (tartaric) acidity. Quite restrained sweetness. Firm, racy finish with juicy nectarine skin, echoing classy, classic noble Rheingau earthiness. Finishes quite dry, in fact.
I keep upgrading score since opening yesterday. Medium intensity is really all that is keeping this puppy from being a truly great classic.
'13 is not a great (or favorite) vintage, but this is one of the best I've seen.
    Impressive, pretty & classic.
Cork was VERY dense; probably partially explains this showing so young (bought off retailers shelf last week); curious to see if the other 5 are same/similar.
