April 13, 2024 - Pop'n'pour, served in stemless tumblers. In a riper, fruit-forward style of PN, more pureed raspberry than the crunchy strawberry and mushroom character that Santa Maria and Bien Nacido often produce.

Open, crowd pleasing style, what I'd describe as a Grenache-like PN. Having had a bottle of Grenache from a Pinot Noir vineyard just previously, though, I felt the varietal Grenache was better at being Grenache, if that makes sense. Fruit forward, medium to full bodied, mild tannins, a kiss of oak, light on earth tones and structure, though good balance.

Quite good for the price I paid, though not one I would seek out as a rebuy or to age. Definitely an 'artisanal' style PN (clean, good tension), and also stylistically what I expect from a bold Rhone variety producer like Tensley.

March 25, 2024 - Another solid bottle of this Pinot. Red and blue fresh fruit on the nose, creamy texture, just the right amount of backbone to drive the classic pinot flavor and long finish. In a good spot, but no hurry to drink up.

March 9, 2024 - Opened and let breath for a couple hours, did not decant. Beautiful Pinot nose and palate. Blue and red fruit, medium low tannin, nuanced, creamy. This has developed beautifully over the past year, in a very good spot now.

April 29, 2023 - Bright and fresh nose of red and dark berries, soft caramel. Meaningful presence of tannins as backbone, but soft and long finish. Balanced and very enjoyable. Buy again.

April 4, 2023 - Drank over two days. Red and blue fruit on the nose and palate, long finish. Classic Pinot that is allowed to speak for itself (not manipulated). Grainy tannin at this stage that gets in the way of the full enjoyment of the potential. I have a few more of these and will wait for a year to open another. Recommend hold for a year and it will pick up a point or two.
