    April 8, 2024 - 2021 to Kupp, unplanned; 4/5/2024-4/8/2024 (Detroit): 7.5% abv AP 05. Just open now. 56° F to start.
smoldering, hissing stone sensations to smell. I'd say "electric" but without the connotations of modern infrastructure. This is immense static charge liberated from deep geology. Emphasis on "liberated." I also find pointed, perfumed insistence on lime biopsy, rose/ginger sour candy, and cassis. Stunning, coterminal incidence of all virtues: crush, impact, tempo, transparency. The finish is preposterous in sheer and length. Somehow I'm persuaded this is a dry drinking experience.

November 23, 2023 - Off dry with good fruit and minerality. Excellent length and finish. Better with air; evolves nicely.

October 30, 2023 - Pop and pour. Really needed air to come to life, but what emerged was really nice. Will sit on my other bottles for a while.

August 26, 2023 - Took to cole and mary’s for BLT-a-thon. Great acidity and fruit. Really welll-balanced and deep. Dry for contemporary kabinett. Totally delicious.

August 17, 2023 - Loved this. Terrific Kabinett - the fruit profile is very tart (all green apples/limes) and very much what I'd want from the Saar, with bright herbal, floral, and slatey accents around the fruit. Remarkably light on the palate with an intense spine of acidity that keeps it very lively and refreshing. Great wine and I'm glad I have a few more.
