December 8, 2023 - Ripe plums, dark roses, Provençal herbs; this is really fleshy, glossy and sensual stuff. The stuffing is immense and the wine was showing beautifully from the first pour. Thought it had a little bit of everything (heat, alcohol, fruit, development etc) and very much in balance. Up there amongst the very best Giacosas I’ve tasted.

July 26, 2023 - While I can't put my finger on the exact fault, I've had this wine a few times and this bottle wasn't representative. Dull nose (no "fruitcake" shooting from the glass), and on the palate the fruit seemed a bit cooked and flat. A wine I perhaps most looked forward to at the tasting, but alas. Only good bottles. I'm tagging flawed because this wine *can* be amazing.

I guessed the region right but no idea of vintage. Lovely aged Barolo, for me close to his peak. Roses, tar, violet and some dark cherries. 96

May 25, 2023 - BYO Litteraturhuset "Best Wine": Ungdommelig, klar middels dyp rød farge.
