July 30, 2023 - Dark ruby with brown, orange rim. Concentrated dark fruits, prune, raisin, dried fig, tar, liquorice. Complex and layered. Good structure like a classic Barolo Riserva. There was intense dark fructose in the front of wine which would be cleaned up in the long finish. This bottle would need more time in the cellar for the fructose to mellow out and further integrated with other elements.

May 8, 2023 - Dinner at Tortello (Chicago, IL): Almost tasted oxidized at first, but this really started to get itself put-together over the course of the evening. Very structural, with a slight plummy note, and lots of relatively coarser tannins. It definitely tightened up and showed much better with air over the evening. Crazy frustrating how hard it is to predict what kind of air treatment to give these mid-aged nebbiolos.

February 15, 2023 - Lidt garvesyre, meget fyldig smag, gennnemsigtig over i det teglfarvede. Skal måske åbnes et stykke tid før drikning? Syren vil formentlig være god til mad.

November 9, 2022 - My wife brought this to a lady's night, but I got small samples on the front and back end. Earthy red fruit with mineral and underbrush notes. Sour cherry on the palate with hints of orange rind. Very nice example of Barolo. Still quite tannic, next bottle in five years.
