Community Tasting Notes 5

March 25, 2024 - See through ruby violet; very floral nose, lots of violets, tea, sour plum, darker berries, a little funk, some granite minerality in the background, not a deep or rich wine but aromatic, juicy and lifted; on the palate that same quality continues, light and pretty rather than booming, acidic and juicy than palate staining, nice complexity, good friendly texture and longer aromatic finish.

October 20, 2023 - This has all the hallmarks of a classic N. Rhone Syrah, though perhaps a bit more muted than I'd like at the moment. Slight bitterness on the finish as well. Give this a bit more time I think.

September 13, 2023 - Intense dark red, purple hue. Dark cherry, plum on nose and palette. Smooth tannins, medium finish. Not too funky for a natural wine. Enjoyed it, will try another bottle in some time. I think it can be stored for several years, if you can wait that long.

July 18, 2023 - Big classic syrah nose. Fruity and chalky, still a bit acidic- could balance with age.

February 14, 2023 - Delicious- natural wine thing that *almost* veers into the "dirty" category, but steers clear in the end. Just very funky and raw. Reminded me of a less-dialed-in version of something like Arnot-Roberts, lol. A bunch of cracked pepper and sour plum, gamey, funky, tarry, wild and uncontrolled, in a fun way, not just kombucha style natty wine. Tart and demanding on the palate. Not really more than the sum of its parts, but I had an excellent time with it.
