March 7, 2024 - Lovely, straight shooting Cab from Washington. Ran in through through the Aervana and it opened up some more in the glass. Young tasting so perhaps a 2 hour decant would have been a good choice if I had time. Probably better in a few years, but drinkable now if given sufficient air. Tastes like a quality wine from a good producer. Solid

December 26, 2023 - Night two notes. Black fruits are dominant with silky tannins and vanilla on the finish.

December 20, 2023 - Creme de cassis, dust, cacao. Black and blue fruits with wet stone, great structure with a broad finish of silky tannins. Opened up over ~3 hours. Really good value.

December 14, 2023 - Had a few ounces then left the bottle overnight in the fridge. Wasn't able to get around to it so had to portion into 4oz bottles.

Nose has dark cherries that are rich and dense. Some richness from oak as well. Palate is medium bodied and shows true cherry, little kiss of oak, some nice acidity and red florals. Finish has some chocolate covered raspberries and more cherries.

Pretty simple and one dimensional, though admittedly I didn't give this wine an opportunity to show its best. It was better on day 1 after it had been open a few hours. Generous 90 based on memory, in the glass is more like 88-89

December 11, 2023 - Drank over 4 days. A guest opened a bottle near the end of a Friday tasting night, but only drank a quarter glass. I walked over, tried a sip, and squirreled it away for later.

Day 1 was a pretty good PnP, but improved by day 4 (Monday). Nearly inky, with pronounced cherry aroma in the glass. First taste comes with dark fruit, cherry, and some leather/smoky barrel characteristics. Trying to note the secondary flavors, I thought blueberry came through, and maybe some indecipherable baking spices. Medium+ body, medium+ tannin, with appropriate, enjoyable acidity and bitterness. Finish was medium, but kept me coming back for more.

In my opinion, would work well with food or solo, making this one pretty versatile. I would still give this a good decant, though a PnP would still work in a pinch.
