Community Tasting Notes 2

  • La Cave d'Argent Likes this wine: 92 points

March 28, 2024 - This limpid, medium golden Viognier flaunts intense aromas of blood oranges, white peaches, Crenshaw melon, jasmine, honey and allspice. Medium-bodied, dry, medium in acidity, minimally oaked and with well-integrated alcohol (listed as 14%), it delivers flavors in line with the aromas, unleashing a mouthfeel of significant viscosity on the mid-palate and lengthy finish. Serially tasted over three hours from a bottle that was popped and poured, this does not require extended aeration. Enjoy it while the fruit remains bright. Enclosed with a Diam 10 cork. Drink now-2027.

  • Vinnut Likes this wine: 90 points

November 10, 2023 - Medium golden yellow in color. Full, forward & fragrant nose of ripe fruit aromas of peaches, citrus notes of lemons/limes & tropical notes with overtones of floral notes of honeysuckle & minerals, grilled nuts, spices, ginger, stony & some honey notes in the background. Medium-light bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of lemons/limes, melons & stone fruits with minerals, spices, honey & a hint of oak. Lingering off-dry finish. Drinks quite well at present although it may develop further with additional aging.
