  November 22, 2007 - Served for Thanksgiving dinner for 20. This wine was very acidic when first opened. After decanting for 2 hours it became much more mellow with hints of berries.

  February 17, 2007 - For $10, Bogle Merlot is a fine bottle of wine. The color is dark, like a cross between red and black plum. The scent is sweet, blackberries and cherries with a very slight hint of pepper and tannin. Taste is blackberry and raspberry, has a big start, and then finishes very light with an unpleasant taste of parchment. Good dinner wine.

  October 30, 2006 - Color: deep ruby. Aroma: Cherries, plum, with subtle buttered popcorn overtones. Little or no wood. Taste: Acidic up front and in finish. Minimal oak. Overall: Decent red to go with some dishes. Interesting aroma but not all that pleasant on the palate or at finish.
