Community Tasting Notes 3

March 28, 2018 - Deep and dark. This shows well integrated dark fruit with a touch of tobacco leaf. Lovely balance. Very enjoyable over three nights.

  • Gros Pere Does not like this wine:

October 24, 2016 - Past its prime. On the nose, little bit of spice at the beginning, then resin/tar, earth, dust. Acid has taken over the palate. Fruit is gone and tertiary flavors have gone to seed. Should not have held this one so long.

August 14, 2014 - The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are slow. There is heavy sediment in the bottle. It smells like black currant (cassis), blackberry, mineral and stoniness. It tastes like black currant (cassis), blackberry, plum, forest floor, mineral, oak, stoniness and violet. The body is medium/full. The wine has linear texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.
