Community Tasting Notes 3

November 24, 2023 - The concentration on this wine is unreal. It's bruising on PnP. Jammy cherries and a lot of ripe blackberry and blackcurrant but with enough acid to have it feel very lithe on the palate. Vacuvin'd it and it was much more my style on day two. Black olive, pepper, smoky fat. Basically like if you made a pan sauce with chicken drippings and blackberries. Either give it a slow ox or sit on it for 5 years.

September 15, 2023 - Elegance, restraint, cool fruit, meat, olive paste…and a lot more to come. Note below gets it right, but it’s no crime to open now. West Coast Rotie, if you ask me.

January 29, 2023 - This is new to me, so I'm **admittedly** committing a bit of infanticide to test it out.

Color is medium purple. Nose is boysenberries & plum; bacon fat & olive. There's a richness that I could sit and smell this wine all afternoon. First taste is noticeable acid. Boysenberry/marionberries, red plum, cured meat, graphite, and a bit of white pepper. Day 2, this has lost some of the baby fat and really come together.

Delicious now, but I would imagine even better in at least 3 more years but could go for a long time.

13.88 abv. Bottled under Diam 30, so this is set to lay down long-term.
