Community Tasting Notes 11

December 10, 2022 - Christmas lunch with the wine ark boys (Porcine, Oxford Street): Black fruits are slightly baked, a little on the concentrated side, sweet oak spice, a little reductive note lends a rubbery and almost resinous underpin, touch of leather. Juicy, fleshy, dark hued fruit, slightly rubbery notes, tannins are drying but quite talc textured, handles its alcohol well.

April 22, 2022 - Still hanging there. Big, rich, ripe tarry. Mulled black fruits. Alc on finish. Rich tannins, large amount of sediment.
    Nice.

November 18, 2020 - Big rich and dense. Tannins have finally integrated giving a pleasing palate feel.
Blackcurrant, tar, mulberry with a firm finish. Spice.
    Quite enjoyable over 3 nights.

August 7, 2011 - Stilllooking fresh. Tasted Cab on the palate initially until the wine opened up. Truly delicious and integrated with a level of smoothness not normally found in an Aussie shiraz. Great wine.

March 26, 2010 - Nose: black fruit, vanilla, leather, mocha, mustiness
Mouth: dark fruit, perhaps some cherry, plenty of sharp acidity and a little tannin. Medium long finish with hints of leathery chocolate. On the decline.
