Community Tasting Notes 2

    December 27, 2022 - Much better 2nd day wine.

Appearance - clear, ruby, leans purple vs red. Medium plus intensity.

Nose - youthful, red and black berry fruits. Fresh. Ripe. Fragrant.

Palate - ok so not sure my notes are that different but it feels more together and more enjoyable drinking window today than last night. Wine is warmer and it has seen some air. Still think you should hold it.

December 26, 2022 - Appearance - clear, ruby/purple. Medium plus. This is pretty opaque for French burgundy.

Nose - youthful, medium intensity, red and black berries, fragrant, vanilla, sweet ripe fruit. A bit floral. Smells like spring vs fall. Those little ripe berries that are breaking trough. Tart and sweet.

Palate - wow on mouth. Bam. Lots of fruit. Tastes more new world to me vs something more French refined. Medium plus body for burgundy. Black and red fruits. Ripe yet tart but fresh. Getting plums and blackberries and those little berries you see on tarts. Getting some of the first greenery. Maybe some mint or herbal. Tannins appear after you swallow on the sides of you inner cheeks. Finish is medium plus and juicy. It really drys out as the tannins kick in. Beckoning the next sip. Alcohol is medium. Balanced in that nothing stands out of whack but a young wine. Probably a little young right now but drinkable. A little sour note on the palate after you swallow.

Will be interested how this one ages. Wills save my other bottles. Too soon to open.
