July 23, 2020 - Seriously aged quality CA chardonnays are delicious. Pop and pour for a quick sip by the pool a Then drank over the course of an hour Opened beautifully with no hint of going over the hill.

August 7, 2019 - A Night of Aged California Zins (Dino's Grotto - Washington, DC): Alive still. It showed some honey, almond and nuts with apricot and lemon curd. Still lively on the palate, plush but enough acidity to keep me intrigued. No VA or oxidization here, but it’s aged well. Lots of stony, mineral, earthy tones underneath the richer elements. Fun stuff.

October 19, 2017 - Similar to recent reviews. I wouldn't hold any longer. Crazy how the acid kicks in from mid to finish. Lovely. Drink 'em if you got 'em while it's in this spot.

March 29, 2017 - Deep, deep golden color. Heavy fruit for a Chard, but wonderfully enjoyable. Rich with oak and tropical fruit.

February 9, 2017 - Wow. Mt Eden Chardonnays are stunning. This is in a perfect spot right now. There is a lot of oak here and it really works in this wine. Acid is on the lower side but it is far from flabby. Lemon, pears and a bit of honeysuckle. Nice flinty elements on the nose. Color shows it's age but the palate just shows pure balance. Delicious with and without food.

(Mount Eden Estate Chardonnay) #7; (tasted blind); VaynerPAZZZ; COLOR-medium golden; NOSE-very American; heavy oak; burnt wood; buttered popcorn; a little apple sauce; PALATE-so ridiculously oaked; I'm flabbergasted that wine like this is still being produced; for my palate, this is a style that is just unacceptable; so ridiculously over-the-top; it's like drinking melted wood with a few lemons squeezed on there; heavily oaked; heavily buttered; many love this big over-oaked California style; RP-96; GV-68
