December 11, 2023 - Restaurant purchase; decanted and enjoyed with a number of Italian prepared veal entrees. Youthful with notable, disjointed structural elements needing time to integrate. Black and red fruits dominate the flavor profile and are balanced by the evolving tannin, oak and acidity. I think this will only improve with further cellaring. Drink through 2932+. Decanting and food recommended over the the next 1-2 years.

September 30, 2023 - Deep dark reddish purple in color, essentially opaque. Full, fragrant & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, blackberries & cassis with overtones of earthy/duty & floral notes of violets, herbs, spices, cocoa, tar, minerals & a hint of vanilla/oak. Full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, blackberries & plums with some spices, cocoa, herbs, minerals & hint of vanilla/oak. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & extended airing but should develop further with additional aging.

May 2, 2023 - Typical Super Tuscan made with the formula dark color, high alcohol, lots of extraction and oak. Plush and rich but not refined. More a BBQ wine than something for an sophisticated table. I struggled to even finish the one glass I was poured.
