March 3, 2024 - Limpid ruby to pink in thin layers. From the start the typical sour cherry fruit with funky animalic notes as aged meat, sauce from roast meat, flowers e. g. chestnut flowers, minerals. With more time spicy and smoky notes as well as tobacco leaf. On the palate it is very smooth with low levels of tannin. The sediment that occured over the last half year is very very fine and the bottle should stand upright for some days before opening. Otherwise the wine is a bit cloudy, but that doesn't influence the taste. High but not unbalanced acidity. For my palate it lacks persistence, length on the palate for a extraordinary score. So for me this is definitely not a three digit wine as for Gutiérrez from the WA. But it is not a 88 point either of course. This is for those who prefer complexity and elegance, nuances over power. A wine that should be consumed on its own and with attention. 5/13/18/10. -2031

February 18, 2024 - Ummmmmm no. This is thin, tangy and sour. Opened for a few hours but not much coming out other than damp funk. I love LG but this is far from a perfect. Low acid so not sure time will help.

February 6, 2024 - An incredibly ethereal wine. So light in alcohol and such delicate savoury and long lasting notes. Different to what the regular wine drinker might be expecting - one for the academics!

December 3, 2023 - Definitely an outstanding wine.
So precise, so pure and so much intensity I rarely got outside of burgundy.
The bouquet shows an immense freshness: White pepper, an almost a volcanic, smokey note, spring flowers, cherry fruit, blood orange peel and rose hips.
Its dancing on the palate but for a really long time.
Will develop for quite some time. -

October 8, 2023 - Limpid crimson, a bit cloudy. From the start complex nose of pepper, smoke, cherries, meaty notes and rosehips. On the palate so light, yet expressive in aromatics. Not the persistence of the 2019, I guess, but still outstanding. 4+/13/18/10. 95+
