February 28, 2023 - Young, but expressive nose. Dark fruit, earth, violet. Moderate acidity, all the tanins. Pretty closed still.

February 20, 2023 - A bit of barnyard and cardboardy initially but blows off after a couple hours and the next day. Aroma is a bit subdued but shows flower and dried prunes when agitated. Strong tannins and not for the faint heart at this stage. Powdery and plenty to coat the mouth. Mouthfeel is light, lean and high energy. Palate is ripe but not the fruit sweetness from other wines of the vintage. Has a little serralunga character. Rustic and authentic.
