March 4, 2024 - Enjoyable; I used some in a risotto and sipped the rest while I cooked; ripe orchard fruits, some honeysuckle and a hint of some lees/butter; round on entry, but with enough acidity to have some freshness. Easy to enjoy though I prefer the pinot gris and the chardonnay from Eyrie.

October 2, 2023 - Begins with a grape alcohol white wine taste I'm not crazy about when it comes to white wines. Finishes nicely though with mineral, complexity. Longish finish I appreciate about this.

August 2, 2023 - Pinot Blanc is tough to put one's finger on. It doesn't have the great fruit of Chardonnay to which it's sometimes compared, for example. Nor is it obvious in its varietal characteristics, as are Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Riesling and Gewürztraminer. This wine has a slight herbal characteristic, and shows light to medium body and plentiful acidity. To me, Pinot Blanc is one of the few whites that could benefit from barrel fermentation, as evidenced by the Chalone Pinot Blancs of the late 1960s and early 1970s. While this wine does not share those characteristics, I'm hopeful that it will develop more complexity with a few years in the bottle.

November 11, 2022 - Floral, with brioche and lemon zest. Delicate and elegant - high but balanced acid, bone dry, and light bodied. Tasted at the winery and though our luggage forced us to limit our choices, we will surely order a bottle one day.
