March 29, 2024 - La Bottega, Joo Chiat Rd, Singapore. I am partial to this wine as I had an epiphany of sort many years ago. It is the simplest wine in the range of a storied Piemonte producer. I find the good Barbera wines to be amongst the very best nouveau wines combining power, intense fruit, adequate complexity. This is an ideal wine to pair with tomato dishes whether pasta or pizza. Uncomplicated drinking, very affordable and yet this is full of character, an artisan wine. I bet it can age some but this is intended for youngish drinking.

August 7, 2023 - Dark red. Powerful nose of tar, black berries and oak. Silky smooth but powerful. Tar and dark berries also on the palate. Long and powerful finish. Save up to five years. Really nice Barbera.

July 21, 2023 - Nose of tar, juicy dark fruits (like really ripe plums), earth and volatiles. The palate comes in bright and earthy rides a way on bright acidity, expresses a toasted character as time progresses and lingers beautifully for a nice length. Really delish!
