November 2, 2022 - As is typical with the Dry Farmed Pinot Noir, this one comes on pretty strong. From the vividly dark magenta color as you begin to swirl, to the husky aromas of black cherry, plum, currant and potting soil. As the wine opens up the aromatic revelations keep coming, in the form of roses and violets, hibiscus and hints of licorice. The flavors are big, again juicy dark cherry, cranberry, cinnamon, nutmeg, tea and black pepper. This complex and forceful flavor profile leads into tannins, not harsh, but certainly with a grip that tells you this wine will age well in your cellar. Pair this with well-sauced roasted meats or full flavored cheeses.
